Cheryl Tweedy Forever!

Girls Aloud member Cheryl Tweedy (I know she is married and changed her last name to Cole, but Tweedy is such a better name for a pop star), who is one of the few woman I have thought about turning for, but wisely thought against it in the end, finally put out that damn solo material. The Wayne Wilkins produced r’n’b electro is a good, and rather safe departure in sound from the usual balls-to-the-wall production typical of GA’s work with Xenomania. I have always thought that Cheryl has a great, under-appreciated tone to her voice, but the vocoder used on the track certainly does not showcase it (the amazing GA b-side “Crazy Fool” on the other hand, does). Either way, the song is very 2009 and will be in the running for my jam this fall (although I think Lenoa has already beaten her to that…)

and this is “Crazy Fool,” which is one of her “solo” tracks with GA from 2006
